The basic model.
Quick summary animation. Click the blue button...
1) The phases. The first view in the simulation above shows the "pie" model. The idea is to structure your project or initiative in phases (pie slices). These phases can be anything you like (i.e., Plan, Execute, Close). By the way, this image is how we came up with the word "PIE" in PIEmatrix.
2) The layers. This is the "matrix" side of the model. Click Show Quick Summary to see the pie view flip onto its side. This displays the process layers. A layer contains any set of steps that can be grouped for a team to execute through the life cycle. The intersections of slices (phases) and layers are cells that can contain process steps with how-to instructions, people roles, document files, due dates, etc. This becomes repeatable template for certain types of projects in the future.
3) The projects. Click the Next button in the above model and see a process template replicate for each project. This makes it easy for your team leads to select a pre-made process template that's ready to execute.
Everyone is on the same page, speaking the same business language. Because PIEmatrix is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model, everyone collaborates in real time from anywhere and executives get up-to-the-minute information for predictability.
PIEmatrix versus competition. (stomp)
The following model shows how we compare with the other tool sets on the market. See below how we compare against project portfolio management (PPM), project management (Project), business process management (BPM), governance-risk-compliance (GRC), and knowledge management tools.
